Blues Artists GA-20 and JD Simo to Perform in Denver

Attention DU Pioneers and Denver residents: GA-20 and JD Simo, will be performing a local co-headlining Denver show at Larimer Lounge on Thu. Nov 4th in support of their new LPs.


GA-20’s acclaimed new LP GA-20 Does Hound Dog Taylor: Try  It…You Might Like It! just landed at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Blues Albums Chart this month (Sep.) and has been garnering rave reviews from the likes of The Guardian, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, MOJO, Shindig!, AllMusic and others. 


GA-20 Does Hound Dog Taylor: Try  It…You Might Like It! is a tribute record to the late Chicago blues great, Hound Dog Taylor. The group is led by blues legend Charlie Musselwhite’s longtime guitarist Matt Stubbs and vocalist/guitarist Pat Faherty. The LP was just released on August 20th and is a co-release with both Karma Chief Records (Colemine Records’ sister imprint) and Alligator Records (who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year).

JD Simo‘s new album Mind Control will be released on November 5th via Crows Feet Record. It’s the follow-up to his acclaimed 2020 self-titled album.


Chicago-born and Nashville-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer JD Simo connects the missing link between Motown and Woodstock as he fuses fluid and fiery fretwork with vital and vulnerable vocals. JD has been acclaimed by Rolling StoneNPRGuitar PlayerRelixNo Depression, and more.


Logging hundreds of gigs annually, he has collaborated with Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Luther Dickinson, Blackberry Smoke Allmusic, and more. Not to mention, he graced the bills of festivals, including BonnarooWarren Haynes Christmas Jam, and Mountain Jam.
