Prepare for more lane closures this week

Commuters who are going through west to Durango Tech Center will have to face inconvenience due of lane closures. Actually, the road work at DoubleTree Hotel intersection is underway and may take some more weeks to complete.
The officials of Colorado Department of Transportation said that drivers will face serious issues on west 9th street in this week. They further said that eastbound lane will remain close in evenings and westbound Ninth Street lane will remain close during morning hours. It is said that the commuters may take another street to reach Roosa Avenue.
On the other hand, spokeswoman for CDOT Region 5 Nancy Shanks said that “It is going to affect new travelers and that’s really big change”. Apart from this, a senior official of Transportation department said that one-lane closures on southbound and northbound Camino del Rio will begin from Monday 8:30 a.m to 4:00 pm.
It is said that the $6 million project is expected to take 5 months to complete. Michael McVaugh an engineer for CDOT said that “this intersection accommodates 30,000 to 45,000 vehicles everyday and it is going to create serious problems for the commuters”. He further said that once the project is completed, it will be offering smooth driving experience to all drivers.
